“Over every mountain, there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley.” Theodore

Our drive to Heathrow took us a bit over 3 1/2 hours, with a 10 1/2 hours flight home as David is sleeping next to me……….I’m trying to recollect all the memories over the last few weeks.
All that comes to mind are Wow, Amazing, Fantastic, Surreal, Incredible but most of all is to have them shared with the person I love.
So let me try to summarize over 2’700 miles of road traveled…..
Morocco, exotic, mysterious, but with the explosiveness of color, its medinas teaming with life, the beauty of its deserts and mountains, its food savory and spicy at the same time.
Portugal, a country built on blue tile, the narrowness of its cobblestone streets, villages mostly washed in white with a few spots of colors stacked up mountainsides like pieces of a puzzle, the beauty of its cork forests, the diversity of its cuisines and wines — its modern highway where the posted speed of 120 kph seems to apply only to donkey carts and tractors.
England, a country where you can’t take two steps without coming face to face with history, the beauty of its idyllic landscape of patterned green carpets of valleys and hills sprinkled with sheep and Christopher’s ginger cake!
But what I will take away from this experience is the Hospitality that was offered. Take away governments and let people be people.
Most people tell me I’m lucky to be able to experience the world as I have, but I tell them that I’m blessed and there is not a day goes by that I don’t tell God , THANK YOU.
Next adventure toying around with a few ideas.
