Hola, I’m Sergio (writer) and my husband, David (editor). For those of you who know me, I talk 1,000 words a minute without taking a breath. Well, I write the same way, too; skipping a lot of commas and speaking in very long sentences. David edits my words beautifully without losing my voice.
We are both “island boys” … me Cuba, David Manhattan. We met online back in 2008 and married in 2016 in a blowout ceremony surrounded by family and dear friends.
In 2018 we decided to take early retirement and relocate to the Lakeside area of Chapala, outside Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
I’ve always kept notes during my travels over the years. Since moving, it’s been easier to stay connected with family and friends by writing a weekly email letting them know how things were going in retirement. Well, that email has now morphed into a blog. I now have faithful readers that await the next chapter. One of them calls it “his telenovela.”
