And that is what we encountered at Margarita’s market booth this week. If they are available we always pick up a small bag or either her ginger covered chocolate or my old-time favorite, dark chocolate covered apricots……..this week she had a new product – Tequila truffles covered in luscious dark “gold” ~ line them up!,

Our yoga studio hosted the international group, Amayama, whose members hail from Amsterdam and Barcelona. They perform an original concert of mantras, dance, and visuals. The concert incorporates live music and a fusion of reggae-pop, electroacoustic, world music, Latin fusion dance choreography, and vocals. Phew!. The sounds and choreography used during the show drew us into a refreshing, pleasant, and unique sensory journey. Needless to say, we left extremely energized.

Over the last month, I have been dealing with Telmex or TelHell, as what ex-pats affectionately call it. Our modem just shuts off by itself. It took several calls to find out that my original order ticket was closed, without anyone ever coming to the house. New service ticket created – “a técnico will be calling you within 72 hours,” 12 hours later a technician called and informed us he was stopping by……I told David and he just shrugged his shoulders. About two hours later the phone man showed up…..took a look at our modem and told me he had not seen that model in a while – calling it an antique. He quickly replaced it with the latest version; set up and had us reconnected in no time at all………they are trained to be polite, courteous, and professional, so it’s hard to get upset at them when they finally show up.

We attended the annual Ajijic Art Society exhibit, another expat-centric event…..only a few local Mexican artists were showing so we went to support our friend, Ceci. The art ranged from what they were smoking to how many bottles of vodka were consumed…..only a few pieces caught my eye for a closer look. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I was blind today.

I have commented before about the lack of good Chinese food lakeside….well this week I made my own fried rice……..David’s review was it’s as good as downtown L.A.’s Yang Chows……so just call me “Si Buen Food.” Also on the menu this week: fried red snapper and roasted asparagus…..having the time and the abundance of great products makes for really enjoyable cooking.

Updates on my dental implants. . . posts are in, next week is the impression………looking at the finish line.
